The Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department’s fundamental responsibility as a “Protector of Society” is the safeguarding and preservation of human life and property against the elements of fire and disaster, whereas its members shall never allow personal feelings or danger to self deter them from carrying out their duties.

They shall, to the best of their powers, recognize and uphold their responsibility and shall respond to this responsibility at all hours of the day or night, on duty or off, when those they have sworn to protect need help.

The Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department dedicates this before God and the Public who have placed their faith in the members of this organization.

Welcome to the Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department’s (FMMFD) Website. We are an organization of 40 dedicated, community service oriented people that serve more than 15,000 residents and its visitors. We are also an all-risk public safety agency. This means we respond to all emergencies and hazards with the exception of those that are the responsibility of law enforcement.

The Fort Mojave Mesa community is located in Northwest Arizona directly on the borders of California and Nevada. Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department is a special district and recognized as an unincorporated political subdivision of the State of Arizona located in Mohave County. Leadership is provided by five “at large” elected Board of Directors serving on overlapping four year terms.

Our services include: fire suppression, technical rescue and advanced life support, including paramedic ambulance transport services and a full range of fire prevention, consulting, and investigative services. We provide these services through Administration, Prevention, Training, Disaster Preparedness, Emergency Medical Services, and two strategically located fire stations with a minimum of 11 people on duty daily.

We strive for economic development by streamlining our processes for business efficiency while seeking revenue opportunities to offset our operational expenses. We support employee well-being and productivity through training, career development, an employee wellness and fitness program, and a collaborative working environment. We provide exceptional customer service because it is the right thing to do. Our employees are trained, recognized, and rewarded for exceptional customer service.

Again, thank you for visiting the FMMFD Website. For more information about our fire department and the tri-state recreational opportunities, please use the links provided or call the administrative office @ 928.768.9181.
